Kevin Johnson has been practicing law for over 25 years.  Graduating from North Dakota State University in 1984, he then earned a law degree (Juris Doctor) from the University of North Dakota in 1987.  That year, he was sworn in as an attorney in both North Dakota and Minnesota. 

Since 1999, Kevin Johnson has been practicing law only in Illinois.  He  has concentrated his practice almost exclusively on family law (domestic relations) cases for the past 24 years in the Chicago area, practicing in Cook County Circuit Court.

Kevin Johnson believes in top-level, personal service to clients and is ‘on call’ for them — answering his cell phone — day and night, 7 days/week.  

For over 12 years, Kevin Johnson has often been trusted by Cook County Judges to represent children.  He helps resolve disputes between parents, and reports to the Court on the children’s health, welfare and safety.
